Christmas light events in Jenks, Bixby, Sapulpa and Glenpool, 2026

The short answer

The season starts the week before Thanksgiving. Sapulpa's Route 66 Christmas Chute opens on Thursday, November 19, Jenks holds Lights On! on Main Street on Friday, November 20, and the Jenks Christmas Parade follows on Saturday, November 21 at 10 a.m. Bixby and Sapulpa both hold their Christmas parades on Saturday, December 12 at 6 p.m. Glenpool has not posted its 2026 BlackGold Christmas date yet; the last two were on a Sunday in early December.

Sapulpa: Route 66 Christmas Chute, November 19 to December 27

The Chute is back after a year off. Sapulpa skipped 2025 so Dewey Street could be rebuilt, KRMG reported, and the display now extends all the way across Dewey Street. This year's Chute celebrates the centennial of Route 66.

• Season: Thursday, November 19 through Sunday, December 27.
• Opening night: Lights On! starts at 5 p.m. on November 19.
• Every night: lights on at 4:30 p.m., music off at 10 p.m., lights off at 11 p.m. Food trucks run 5 to 10 p.m. daily.
• Size: 60,000 lights, 10,000 icicles and 21,000 square feet of walkable decor across 11 themes. Organizers counted 500,000 visitors in 2024.
• Extras: photos with Santa start Friday, November 27, with pet nights on December 2 and 9. A live nativity is set for December 5 and 6. Igloos can be rented on the Chute's site.

Sapulpa: Christmas parade, December 12

The Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce lists Christmas Parade: Neon Nights & Christmas Lights for Saturday, December 12 at 6 p.m. The Chute is open that night too, so you can do both.

Jenks: Lights On!, the parade and the trolley

Jenks packs its start into one weekend.

• Lights On!, Friday, November 20, 5 to 7:30 p.m. Main Street Jenks turns on its holiday lights with caroling, Santa, a tree lighting, food trucks and deals from downtown shops. Admission is free.
• Jenks Christmas Parade, Saturday, November 21, 10 a.m. to noon. Floats run along Main Street. The Jenks Chamber is taking entries from businesses, schools, nonprofits and community groups.
• Christmas in the Commons. Santa's Workshop, with photos with Santa. The Chamber has not posted 2026 dates.
• Holiday trolley. New this year: a trolley connects popular Jenks stops on three Saturdays in December. The Chamber has not posted which Saturdays.

Bixby: Christmas parade and Buy Bixby, December 12

The City of Bixby calendar lists the Christmas Parade for Saturday, December 12 at 6 p.m., The listing links to the Rotary Club of Bixby, whose site carries the parade entry form.

The parade night also closes Buy Bixby, the Bixby Metro Chamber's shop-local drawing. It starts November 1. Shoppers collect tickets at participating businesses through Thursday, December 10, and the Grand Finale follows the parade at about 8 p.m. The top prize is $10,000.

Bixby and Sapulpa share the same start time on December 12, so pick one or plan a late drive to the Chute.

Glenpool: BlackGold Christmas, date to come

BlackGold Christmas is Glenpool's parade and tree lighting at BlackGold Park, 95 W. 145th St. at Highway 75. The Glenpool Chamber has not posted a 2026 date. In 2025 it fell on Sunday, December 7, and in 2024 on Sunday, December 8, both with a 4 p.m. parade.

On the 2025 schedule, the parade started on 141st Street, followed by caroling, photos with Santa, food vendors, a horse-drawn carriage, a live nativity and the lighting of the trees. Local businesses, clubs and nonprofits sponsor the trees for $200 each and decorate them with LED lights only. The trees stay lit through the New Year.

When is BlackGold Christmas in Glenpool this year?

The Glenpool Chamber had not posted a 2026 date as of October 23. The last two were Sunday, December 7, 2025 and Sunday, December 8, 2024, each with a 4 p.m. parade, so watch for an early December Sunday.
